Usually we toggle between the 2 based on which is easier to play for the series of chords. Sometimes, it's a little hard to play the Bm chord, so we play the D/B instead. So it's probably a matter of convenience that we play the D/B chord instead of the Bm :)Graham Choohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11529621308309696317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2223816080423532969.post-12903685493225229102014-04-18T21:17:59.238+08:002014-04-18T21:17:59.238+08:00Hey Daniel, just a question for my learning purpos...Hey Daniel, just a question for my learning purposes! Why don't you play the chords Bm A G etc.. instead of a D chord with a B/A/G base note?

It does sound really nice, but i just wanna know why not the other way. We recently had our worship pastor for church AND youth group leave, so I've been helping out as much as possible. These videos have been awesome. Unlike the last comment on this song, I don't care if it sounds exactly the same as the original - I'm not doing this as a performance... just trying to facilitate a time for people to worship God by singing :) Thanks again!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2223816080423532969.post-71230878190441062482010-11-30T12:28:32.719+08:002010-11-30T12:28:32.719+08:00Great videos. The D/G chord can also be called a Gmaj7 (the IV chord in the key of D). It is also common to play this in the key of C, with the capo on the second fret. The intro/interlude lick using the A-minor chord sounds much closer to the Hillsong recording. Here is a helpful video for the Hillsong arrangement:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO4q7Jf5CUA

You make the song sound good with your arrangement and fingerings, but this sounds different than the original.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11009282156245102460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2223816080423532969.post-77681671559435768222010-05-17T18:51:07.138+08:002010-05-17T18:51:07.138+08:00you are amazing thank you for these.you are amazing thank you for these.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2223816080423532969.post-61255870037439434222009-12-28T01:15:08.611+08:002009-12-28T01:15:08.611+08:00Just wanted to say thanks for doing this post and ...Just wanted to say thanks for doing this post and the youtube vid!Westonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09621446665340520659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2223816080423532969.post-29327705607639787392009-07-30T08:17:30.047+08:002009-07-30T08:17:30.047+08:00Hey dday, I've done that for the song already....Hey dday, I've done that for the song already.
