Knowing You

A Christian song by Graham Kendrick. The lyrics are taken from Philippians 3:7-11 where Paul reasons with the church in Philippi that he has every right to have confidence in the flesh because of his pedigree and performance. However, he counts it all as loss and garbage, because knowing Jesus, gaining Him, and placing our confidence in His death and resurrection is of eternal value. In fact, having confidence in the flesh only serves to disqualify us from the prize because we do not depend on the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

We thank God that He has provided us the only way to salvation, through knowing Jesus. So let us echo the words of Paul to declare that there is no greater thing than knowing Jesus, our all, our best, our joy and righteousness. We love You Lord!
