Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing

A classic Christian hymn by Robert Robinson. The lyrics speak of our response to a Saviour who has redeemed, helped, sought, rescued, blessed and kept us - that we should sing praises to such a Saviour. In John 7:37-39 at a public teaching during the last day of the Jewish Fesival of Tabernacles, Jesus invited the hearers to believe in Him and drink from Him, and streams of living water, that is the Holy Spirit, would flow and reside within them.

It is this Holy Spirit who enables us to understand the depths of our Saviour's love and work on the cross for us, and to respond in worship and praise to Him. Here's our heart Lord, take and seal it for Thy courts above!

Hey there,

Maybe you could use both the lyrics and chords sheet and follow with the instructional video to get the strumming pattern for the song?

The strumming pattern is quite simple with D D D DU. D stands for downstroke, and U stands for upstroke. The space between means that there's a slight pause, while if the two are together, etc. DU, then it means a continuous down and upstroke.

Hope the above explanation helps, and you can check out the instructional video in the blogpost if a visual aid helps
