Worthy Is The Lamb

Worthy Is The LambA worship song by Hillsong. I think the title is taken from Revelations 5:11-12 where John says, "Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: 'Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!'"

The scene is one of majesty and awe, as multitudes of angels, the living creatures and elders gather to worship Jesus. Indeed Jesus the Lamb who was slain on our behalf is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll. When he comes again, judgment will be upon us. But also, he will usher in a new world under His mighty rule. How awesome it is - indeed worthy is the Lamb.
