Yesterday, Today And Forever

Yesterday, Today And ForeverA worship song by Vicky Beeching, who's one of the hosts for New Song Cafe by the way. Speaks of a God who never changes even throughout the ages from the beginning of time, until now and forevermore. In Malachi 3:6-7, God says, " I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you."

What implications does this have for us then? If the Lord never changes, then He is indeed our firm foundation. His love for us remains ever passionate since Adam's time until ours, which resulted in Him sending His son to die for our sins, that all who believe would be saved (John 3:16). His mercy endures forever in that He has not destroyed us because of our sin, but His love has given us a way out, salvation through His Son. He is faithful to keep His promises and covenants given us, especially the New Covenant found in Christ Jesus where God will write his laws on our hearts and minds, walk with us in a personal relationship, teach us how to know Him through the Holy Spirit, and forgive our sins and remember them no more (Hebrew 8:10-12).

Thank you God for being our firm foundation. Yahweh we will trust in You.

Lately I've joined the worship team at my church (Calvary Chapel Aurora) and this is one song I felt God has put on my heart to pray but I hadn't have the to look up lyrics and chords. But when I did have time all I could find was his YouTube video of Daniel Choo singing it until today so thank you for having this page so I can learn to praise God with this song and many more. :)
