Praise Adonai

Praise Adonai (Album Version)A worship song by Paul Baloche. Part of the song is taken from Psalm 113:1-5 in which the psalmist writes, "Praise the LORD. Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised. The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high."

We are exhorted by the psalmist to praise the Lord, for there is no one else like Him who deserves all our praises. Praising and giving glory to our God is something we should do daily, for He is indeed worthy. In the Old Testament where it is the setting for the psalms, God proved Himself to the people of Israel in bringing them out of Egypt, in giving them victories over their enemies, in being their provider, Jehovah Jireh. They had every reason to praise Him, and we have more - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

We have salvation because God loved us, loves us, and still loves us. All the more we shall proclaim, "Praise Adonai!"

Thanks for this instructional. I found a nice alternative is to play the C and F chords like this:

F C
e|-----0---0-----
B|-----1---1-----
G|-----2---0-----
D|-----3---2-----
A|-----3---3-----
E|---------3-----

It helps the transition between C and G and creates a richer sound for these two chords. Hope that helps someone. Thanks again, Daniel.

Ken's chords
F C
e|-----0---0-----
B|-----1---1-----
G|-----2---0-----
D|-----3---2-----
A|-----3---3-----
E|---------3-----

These chords are actually Fmaj7 and C/G - nice additions to this arrangement.

Also, try an E or E7 chord at the end of the verse phrase after the G chord on the fourth beat of the measure, before going back to the Am. So, like this:
|Am ///|F ///|C ///|G / / E7|Am...
