I Want To Sing

A familiar worship song sung among the youths in my church. Never really knew who the original composer was, but I think it's Malcolm Du Plessis, from googling.

It is a song that speaks of the great love of God for us; a love that has won our hearts, and demands our love, our worship, our utmost devotion to Him. Indeed Jesus' redeeming act on the cross has not only won our hearts but our souls for Him as well. In 1 Peter 1:18-19 it says, "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."

Therefore our response is to live for Him. To strive toward holiness through the guidance of His Spirit. To among other things, sing and praise Him, because He is our redeemer, our comforter, our friend.
