There For Me

A worship song by By The Tree. Deuteronomy 4:29-31 says, "But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath."

The context is that of a warning given by Moses to the Israelites, should they turn to idols and God's wrath be upon them as a result. However, God is merciful and faithful. Even after we have strayed, if we seek Him earnestly and return to obedience, we will find Him. He's always there for us. When we've sinned, ignored, or simply forgotten about Him, He is still there. Humbly we come to You, so gently You speak to us!
