The Stand

The StandA worship song by Hillsong. In Revelations 2 and 3, John writes of the message the Spirit has for the seven churches, to those who "stand" right to the end for Christ. He writes in seven instances, "To him who overcomes, I will...".

Jesus' death on the cross has brought us salvation. It has made us sinners, righteous before God, not because we are worthy, but because Christ is. And it is this salvation that has made us justified before God through the blood of Christ, to receive eternal life. It is this salvation that is sanctifying us daily, as we live in a fallen world, to take our stand for the Lord, even in times when we fail miserably. It is this salvation that will lead to glorification with our new perfect bodies, when Christ comes again.

Let us endure and run the race that has been set before us. Let us take our stand for God to the end. Christians are not perfect people, but we work toward it with the Holy Spirit's power. So I'll stand, with arms high and heart abandoned, in awe of the One who gave it all.

Hey,
I'm just wondering if there was a PDF file anywhere for The Stand that I could download. Thank you so much for all of the videos that you have put on here, they have been so helpful. God Bless,
Zach

Hey zachbroomy,
Yeah the PDF will be coming soon. I'm rewriting all the Christian songs to include the strumming patterns, in alphabetical order. Currently at "S". Reaching "T" soon :)

Daniel,
I just wanted to encourage you to continue down the path that God has set you on. thank you for being obedient to His call.
I heard "The Satnd" a week ago on 10/05/09 and it was branded on my heart. It has gone through my heart a million time since then.
Thank you for being willing to share your knowledge with one who needs your help.
May god richly bless your righteous endeavors.

Nice work! One small error - the interlude on the PDF is different to the tabs. Daniel plays the interlude from the tabs in the video.

Hey ooXIIBLADEIIXoo, the chords are actually the same. Just that I started the C9 at the end of Chorus 2 because he plays the C9 while singing "completely... to You".
So I decided to place the C9 there instead :)

Can you add a page where we could see the list (possibly linked to the proper article) of all the songs you've already placed on your site. That would be an easy reference for us.

Great and wonderful site.. God bless you guys!!

Hi marvin, you can find those links at the left hand column of the blog, under "Categories".
If you're looking for Christians songs, it's under the "Christian Music" link, and so on.
Hope that helps! :)
