Praise You In The Storm

Praise You In This StormA worship song by Casting Crowns. It talks about the troubles faced by Christians in their lives, and how God seems to be so distant when we need Him the most. In fact, Paul tells Timothy that everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ will be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12). Christians will face trials and persecution. What then should we do in such times? 2 Timothy 3:14-16 tells us to return to the Scriptures, for they and God-breathed, and instruct us in living out our faith and salvation in Christ.

Psalm 121:1-2 states that our help comes for God, the creator of all things. Indeed let us turn to Him, and praise Him through our storm, for He has adverted His full judgment from us, and saved us from our sins through His Son Jesus, who bore them on the cross and took the punishment in our place.

I like this acoustic version of Praise You In This Storm much more than the original version.Thank you for putting up the video. You've helped me to appreciate the song and the meaning of the song better :)

I think the chord names are a little off - the A should be A2, Em should be Em7, but good job on it

Hey, thanks for telling me about the chord names. The problem with myself is that I never had formal training in the guitar, so I don't know how to tell the exact chord names. When that happens, I just write the root chord cause that's mostly what I know, and usually the song will still sound the same even if the exact chord is not played.

Thanks again! God bless :)

Graham - This song has meant a lot to me lately as I am moving halfway across the world to where the lord is leading me. I have been struggling lately with international issues as well as missing my friends and family.

This song really enforced God's message that he is always with us. He will never leave us or forsake us.
Psalm 121 really puts it all into perspective.

Thank you once again for your lovely ministry.

Hey man! This is Josh Wilkerson, a subscriber from YouTube in the United States. Are you playing with an Acoustic Electric, I've never played one so I don't know. I just have been practicing on Acoustic. Great playing and lesson..

Hey, yeps! It's an acoustic plug-in guitar, which just means that it can be plugged up to an amplifier :)
