Second Chance

A worship song by Hillsong. The lyrics speak of salvation that Jesus has brought us, and our response by trusting entirely in Him. Paul speaks of one such response to salvation in 2 Timothy 1:8-10, and that is to suffer for the Gospel, by the power of God.

God has saved and called us to a holy life not because of our own merits, but purely because of His purpose and grace, given through Jesus Christ and His substitutionary death for us. So then the Gospel takes centrality in our response to salvation - to be unashamed of it, to suffer for it, to trust in Him who has saved our souls (2 Timothy 1:12). So we wait upon You now, dedicated to Your will.
