Counting On God

A Christian song composed by Jared Anderson of Desperation Band. In Paul's final instruction to the church of Ephesus in Ephesians 6:10-12, he encourages them to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. To put on the full armour of God in order to resist the devil's wiles and schemes. For our struggle is not against the physical, but against the spiritual.

And it is because we are helpless in our struggle that we need to depend on God's strength through His Holy Spirit in us. Can we weak-willed man really resist the Devil's temptation by our own strength? With God's strength and power, we can! Our faith is on solid rock, and we're counting on God.
