Only True God

A worship song by Paul Baloche. On this earth, there are many gods of various religions. But Christians believe that there is only one true God, and this God came in the form of Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, to save the world through His death on the cross. And this is a mystery of how God is three, but yet one - Father, Son, and Spirit. In John 17:1-5, we read of Jesus' prayer before the event of the cross. It was an event that would glorify Himself, as He would become the means of salvation to all man. It was an event that would glorify God the Father, as Jesus' sacrifice on the cross would display God's saving power and victory over sin and death.

This is the only true God that we believe in. A God who is Creator and Lord over the universe (Genesis 1:3). A God who became man, humbling himself to even death on the cross (Philippians 2:6-8). A God who is the servant King who washed His disciples feet (John 13:12). A God whose Spirit dwells in us (1 Corinthians 6:19). So let us worship Him for who He is - our only true God.
