Before The Throne Of God Above

A worship song by Charitie Lees Smith, also performed by Shane & Shane, in which we get the addition of the bridge. In Hebrews 7:23-28 describes Jesus as the great and perfect High Priest, who is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. And the criteria is spelled out in the proceeding verses, which makes Jesus entirely unique to the high priests of old.

Jesus' sacrifice has enabled us to be justified and righteous before God (Romans 5:18-19). He has imputed His righteousness upon us, and we can now stand before the throne of God above with our strong and perfect plea. Thank you Jesus for the forgiveness you have brought us, that there is no longer any condemnation for the old has gone and the new has come. Hallelujah! Praise the One risen Son of God!
