When I Say I Do

A Christian song by Matthew West, which is meant to be a song sung for weddings. The lyrics speak of the vows made from a husband-to-be to his wife-to-be. And this vow lasts through thick and thin, through ups and downs, until death do us part.

It is interesting to note that while husbands and wives make their earthly vows to each other, that our God has made a covenant with His people, His bride. Revelation 21:2-4 shows the image of the church being prepared as a bride for her husband who is Christ. And a promise is made where God will dwell among His people. They will be His, and He will be their God. And He will make all things new and remove all pain and suffering from existence. Thank You God for this hope we can look forward to, where You are preparing us to be the bride of Christ, and where we will one day be in glory with You.
